All coaches and volunteers who want to participate on the players’ side of the field during games must meet these requirements to receive a coaching credential, which is required for all games:
- Coaches need to register with IMLAX as a coach
- Have a USA Lacrosse Bronze certification
- Signed PCYLO Code of Conduct
- ALL Youth coaches are required to submit and pass a background check through Spectrum Security Group

- IMPORTANT – THIS IS DIFFERENT AND IN ADDITION TO THE USA LACROSSE BACKGROUND CHECK!
- IMLAX Coaches’ Badge Policy
- After all games
- Take a photo of the scoresheet
- Winning team enters scores in Ottosport
- Email a game summary to your team’s families
Why be a coach?
If you believe in the power of athletics to change the course of a young person’s life, you have the right mindset to be a coach!
We are always looking for new coaches and you don’t have to be an all-star lacrosse player to coach. You need to be great with kids and have a desire to learn the game. If you are interested in coaching please contact the appropriate coach coordinator listed below.
